1. From weight taken just before calving until 160 day's Jersey weight dropped with 23 kg. Crosses with 19 kg.
2. Crossbred animals are now 91 kg heavier  than Jersey counterparts.
3. Crossbred animals produce 15% more milk and gap is still widening, Sept. 1 kg more, Oct.1,9 kg more, Nov. 3,06 kg more,  Dec. 3,3 kg more, Febr. 3,32 kg more.
4. Solids compared good: Crosses produce 0,08% more fat than the whole herd. Total herd produces 0,06% protein more than crosses.
5. Condition score for crosses at 160 day’s one better and for Jersey one down.
6. After 160 days the calves (75% Fleckvieh) of the crosses weigh more than 200 kg.   The bulcalves of the Jersey counterparts is culled at the first day of live. (Fed to crocodiles on a crocodile ranch)
7. Allthough average breeding values of Jersey cows used to produce the crossess were: - 354.4 for milk kg; butterfat kg - 7.0 and protein kg  - 9.9 ; they still widening the gap between them and the pure bred Jersey heifers!
8. On the other hand only the best Jersey bulls were used to sire the Jersey heifers used in the  comparison to the crosses. There average were + 483.4 milk kg, +30.8 fat kg and +23.6 protein kg.

The hotest months in Southern Cape is January and February. After floods destroyed irregation pipes in Desember a pasture shortage arrise for awile end January and beginning February.This was together with temperatures of ofer 30 degrees celsius. One can see this in the latest milk tests. Both groups milk dropped with 3kg of milk per day between the last two tests. Jersey dropped 3,1 kg and crosses 3,08 kg.
